Smokeless Flares
The Flaresteam
tip is used for high efficiency, low radiation, smokeless combusion of
high pressure gases, or separated high pressure and low pressure gas steams
on a common tip, with no requirement for either steam or blown air.
The Flarestream
tip utilises the energy in the high pressure gas steam to create an extremely
self-insprating nozzle mix burner. The exclusive annular slotted wall jet
design of the Flarestream tip converts the pressure head in the flare riser,
with minimum discharge pressure loss, into exit jet momentum.
The ability
of this type of jet to entrain and mix combusion air with the gas is up
to twice that of a simple round jet, due to the boundry layer adhesion
effect created along the flaresteam nozzle surface.
The rapid mixing
of gas and air before the flame front, eliminates the possibility of soot
formation and thus result in short, low-radiation flames. The high jet
momentum giveas a stable, upright flame shape, which is relatively unaffected
by prevailing winds. |
