The Hamworthy Combustion Engineering forced draught down firing burner (DFR) is specially designed for the arduous duties experienced in firing reformer furnaces. Its robust, simple design is particularly suitable for this type of application.

The burner is mounted on the roof of the reformer and uses forced draught combustion air which can be pre-heated up to 450°C.

Design Advantages:

Performance:

  • Low NOx
  • Ultra low noise level
  • High turn down ratio
  • Flame Profile designed to avoid tube impingement
  • Low gas pressures can be accommodated
  • Low excess air efficient combustion
  • Internal insulation provided as standard for low casing temperature
  • DRF

    Flexibility:

    • Oil, gas and dual fuel versions
    • Steam or air for atomisation
    • Rectangular or circular air inlet
    • Special designs available for individual applications when necessary
    • Compact windbox design allows close pitching on reformer roof
    • Burner support is independent of furnace roof
    • Externally square refactory block allows for easy installation
